Some months ago, I read in the newspaper about an underground sport: Roller Derby. When you read the rules of the game it looks like fun - and it's a girls-only sport. I got curious and searched for some videos on YouTube. That was quite the surprise.

Just for the record, today's roller derby is much more real sport than the entertainment version of old. If you have any leagues by you it's definitely worth checking out a bout. The WFTDA national tournament was just a few weeks ago and featured the top 8 teams from around the country that advanced after two separate divisional tournaments. Umm, most of us shave our legs still and last I checked you can't "Chkabitchski."
