The Symbol that got Lost

End 2012 I realized I was lacking drawing practice. I tend to get lost in large comic projects that never get on paper. So I decided to sacrifice 2013 to exercise my brush technique.

Around that time I was reading "The Lost Symbol" by Dan Brown. I have read many books by that author, with mixed feelings. It is hard to put them aside once you start reading, but at the end you wonder why you were so drawn in. And when you think back about what the story was about.. there wasn't even so much to it.

I got convinced I could translate each chapter of the book into one sentence. And in "The Symbol that got Lost", I transformed those sentences into corresponding images. I am aware it simplifies the authors work, but on the other hand it allows you to read the essence of a Dan Brown book in 5 minutes. Hope you like it.
